Following the paw prints of Rover, the beloved golden retriever who serves as the Chief Dog Officer on the Icon of the Seas, the cruise line announced that Star of the Seas will get its own Chief Dog Officer named Sailor.
The sailor’s role as Chief Dog Officer mirrors that of Rover, providing comfort and joy to passengers.
Details about Sailor’s breed are still under wraps. However, the role of the Chief Dog Officer is clear: to bring smiles and a bit of extra happiness to guests and crew members alike.

The Star of the Seas is the second of Royal Caribbean’s Icon-class ships and will begin its maiden voyage with an 11-day roundtrip from Barcelona scheduled for September 25, 2025.
